engine died while driving

engine died while driving at 60 mph- engine turns over but will not start

It cost me $1,400 to find the source of this problem in my '97 F150 with 4.6L engine. Turned out to be a bad wire that passes through the transmission. According to the tech, many of the sensors are wired in series through the bundles. He had looked at all the other sensors, and I told him to keep looking. Big expense, but problem found. Hope this helps...
