Headlights stay now truck won't start

Asked by Garcia69 Jan 27, 2016 at 03:14 PM about the 1995 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My headlights stay on even when I turn them
off. I have to disconnect my battery every
time I go any where. I thought it was a bad
cell in my battery so I replaced it. Then it
wouldn't start so I replaced the
ignition/starter solenoid.

Totally unrelated. If ur lights were staying on and u replaced battery, u might've left a loose connection or missed wired the ignition switch. U didn't mention having problems starting prior to replacing battery. Take battery to get it checked and charged and try it again if it still doesn't start, momentarily bypass relay on the fender wall and see if it cranks
