what could cause our 1998 f150,with a good battery to lose electrical power to every thing

good battery,tested 100%.kids drove it to bus stop then back. was partked for a day. went to start it ,it acted like it wanted to for a second then nothing.interior and exterior lights will not work,will not turn over. trying to trouble shoot it the short way with out having to tow it to a garage. any ideas

Since everything is out suspect a corroded connection somewhere near the battery. Do headlights work? Tail lights?

Yes, corroded battey cable or loose ground connection at the body or at starter end
