Lots of power when in fourth gear

When I'm in third gear everything's fine and once I shift in
the fourth it doesn't seem like my truck wants to accelerate
and has lost the power

The overdrive band inside the transmission is most probably burnt and the is why it is not grabbing. Is the transmission fluid black, and never changed? Then that is a good indicator that it is time to replace and or rebuild the transmission. Keep the OD locked out till you can get it fixed.
