Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 F150 lariat supercrew 2wd.  I've tried fuses, traced the purple wire front to back with
no splice found.  Is there anything else it could be?

I did the same. Spent hours looking for the 2-1 purple wire everyone talks about. Wasn't able to find it. Play with the mechanism that secures the door closed and allows the door to open. Not sure what is called. On mine the little lever thing inside does not go all the way down and the senor does not recognize the door being open.

It is under rear door driver side vinyl scuff plate in rocker channel. Open rear door, pull up scuff plate and rear trim. wire bundle is wrapped with tape. Expose wires and repair any corrosion.

My truck has same problem and does not have a splice on purple wire! Maybe extended cabs differ from crew cabs... I've done everything!

I had the same issue with my 2004 f150, removed the door lock assembly and found a bad door Jamb Switch, replaced with Standard Motor Products AW-1024 Door or Dorman 901- 351 Door Jamb Switch, dome light works when I open my door and the radio turns off,
