transmission not shifting in gear

my transmission does not engage at first it made a wining noise and now
doesn't shift in gear. the truck was sitting for 6 years I restarted in march and in
may I replaced the oil because it was a little hesitant

Whining sounds means the front pump is pulling air, possibly the screen has fell off or the fluid level is low. As this is an electronic transmission damage can be done in an instant if there is fluid loss. I would drop the transmission pan and see if anything happened with the screen if the fluid level is where it should be.
