Transmission issues not engaging

Asked by Mcdeck May 01, 2018 at 10:13 PM about the 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So the other day I park my truck one night woke up
the next morning an for some reason the truck
won’t go into reverse (sounds like it’s under load)
but will go into d 1,2 ,3 and drive but it will also
move in neutral.. wondering if you guys had any
ideas? I’ve tried unplugging the battery for 20
minutes then starting it again but that didn’t work
also clean that little black connector box from
transmission to shifter
