2005 F350 6.0L Powerstroke won't crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2005 F350 6L Powerstroke diesel will not crank. Both batteries are new and starter/solenoid are new. It had this problem a week ago, and I replaced the starter. Truck fired right up with no issue. 1 week later, same problem...won't crank. All lights come on dash and all power seems to be fine, just no crank. Could this be a problem with the ignition switch? I noticed once before that if I put the truck in neutral it would start. That doesn't work any longer. Is there a gear selection sensor that could cause this? Thanks for any advice.

Replace the neutral cut off switch.
Thanks for your help. Where is it located on a 2005 F-350. I think it's the 5R110 (5C3P-7000-KB). Is it on the transmission or on the steering column?

The neutral cut off switch on the transmission i had the same problem with my 2003 f350 6.0
The wire going from the battery to the starter may need to be replaced if the battery and starter are good. This was my problem in the past and in a pinch....you can start the truck by getting underneath truck, locate your starter and using a screwdriver manually on starter.
