only thing i can come up with is your heater core is bad, this will cause a leak on the passenger side,if it only leaks when it rains sounds like your windshield is leaking down the windshield post.

I recently had the same experience and will be bringing my '06 Taurus to the dealer as they have have some vehicles with this problem. It seems that there is a shield that channels the water runoff from the winshield that has warped ever so slightly and it lets water into the wiper motor box which is directly behind the glove box. They said if that is what it is (and it sounds like it) the part is around $50 and it will be about $100 labor to install. I know its been a while but I hope this gives you some insight.
