While driving home car started to make grind noise and slowly came to stop no mater if revving engine. Wont go into

Ouch. There are guys on this forum that know Honda's. My only reply Sid, is tow it to a transmission shop ..unless you are a do it yourself, under your oak tree mechanic, one of the fellers will come along that knows Hondas. Sorry I am no help, but opened your question to assure you of that.there are guys that will know
Sid is it a transverse engine? I am thinking broken axle, CV joint, driveshaft, especially when you tell us the speedometer shows as if you are moving

Not the engine, the drivetrain- and specifically the drive axle, not CV joints would make a hell of a racket and would not silently stop behaving, but the CV boots tend to go to hell and let the grease out, but do make some noise and actually crack to make your problem happen. Probably not as myserious as all that. Inspect the drivetrain, and report back-
