intake leaks ? Loose /broken hoses ? They may have had an adjustable TPS , One that has to be set , dialed in when new , scan for codes if you can , they may be displayed as a flashing icon on the dash when correct wires are linked .
No broken hose haven't checked intake my service light does flash at timed
Have you checked the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. It may be stuck open or malfunctioning. Your truck is an OBD I vehicle so to get any stored trouble codes you'll need to use a paperclip to get the service engine soon light to flash out the codes. Do you know how to do that? Hope that helps! Jim
Sorry not a toyota guy. But I got it figured out someone at one point didn't know what they where doing because I checked the distributor at top dead center and it was 180° advanced set it back to where its supposed to be and now running like a champ thanks for your guyes help
Wow, thanks for letting us know! I didn't think of advanced ignition timing! Good job! Glad you figured it out!! Jim
Yeah I would of never thought of that also but I was at the point to give up and told myself what haven't I just check or replace and that was my last resort
