I have 90 Chevy s10,4.3L, I am having fuel problems, it will start up and run but I have to continually pump the gas pedal, if I try to hold the gas down the engine boggs down and dies,

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

If I pump the pedal the truck will stay
running and even drive (unless is try
going up a hill) then it just slows

This was happening to me on my 92' S-10 ,V-6 .. Come to find out there was a worn head gasket and losing compression... Have yours tested for compression loss first! But 1st, try adding a bottle of "Fuel & Injector Cleaner" to see if that helps! Good Luck & Let me know, ok?

One other thing you might check is for 'Weak Linkage Springs'... Hope this helps you...?
