EGR VALVE

Asked by GuruLZ6BR Mar 23, 2019 at 08:28 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet S-10 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I didn't put on the gasket for my EGR
valve, will it be okay without it?

I will, but curious, what will it do without it? This thing was a absolute nightmare for me to put on by myself. I needed three hands, getting around all fuel lines, no room at all to work.

I only asked so I can learn more, I'm a roofer by trade, not a mechanic, I can build just about anything, but I have hardly no experience until I bought this truck at being a mechanic. Thank you for your help.
