Hesatation

249,000 + miles 2000 model V 6. Just replaced injection spider.Starts up fine idles
smooth. No "check engine" light. It seems to hesitate at first then doesn't I'm thinking fuel
filter. Thoughts / comments

Uh No would rather fix this one I know how the new ones are built.I work for a GM supplier.
I saw that as well James. I know this truck like the back of my hand, and don't want a truck payment. Just looking for any thing that would cause hesitation other than possibly fuel filter.
Here is the answer to my own Question. From the intake plenum there is a hose that connects to a "T" and a one way check valve located next to the ABS module on the finder in front of the driver. That "T" connects vacuum to the in dash duct work and a vacuum reservoir. The hose to the reservoir had dry rotted and broke. So after replacing my injection spider and not knowing about this hose I had an open vacuum source. After correcting this issue hesitation is gone.
