1992 Dodge Ram 50 4x4

Asked by GuruKBRTT Dec 07, 2019 at 07:24 AM about the 1992 Dodge RAM 50 Pickup 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have changed several parts related to this subject and nothing has worked.
This truck runs good while it is warm, but when it gets cold it won't start at all,
but it does turn over. It acts like it is not getting any spark, but we replaced the
coil. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on this?

Check around on some of the Dodge Ram forums, they have guides on some of the more uncommon things to check when you have no spark situations, like the engine computer, ASD relay, electrical grounds, or ballast resistor. The ballast resistor is porcelain so it might be affected by cold.
