if you could pull the information off your on-board diagnostics would make this a lot easier...in the old days we used to have heat-risers and stove kits that pulled the air from off of the exhaust manifold for a quick warm-up, really don't know what the modern equivalent is, but you could check the operation of this cold-air intake to see if it is activated when the motor is cold...that might have something to do with our problem....check your diagnostics may shed a little light on this problem~
Primary side of the ignition, meaning one half the coil or before that. A tune up won't help this. The coil is a good place to start your trouble shoot.
if memory serves you have to cycle the key 3 or 4 times with out trying to start to get the codes from the computer, you will get codes in the form of your check engine light will flash on and off, meaning you will get it to light up, on then a pause then like on on, that would be read as 12, then once you get all the codes out of the computer you can google the dodge chrystler obd 1 codes and you can see what all of them mean.

hey moony, the truck he's got only has the one ignition coil so if it's bad he probly won't get the truck to start
