i have a 96 ram 1500 4x4 5.2 L my tranny was leaking fluid pretty bad out of the bell housing need help!

I doubt if you have a bent shaft I would say you have a bad input shaft bearing. This gives the shaft room for movement and oil leakage.

That seal rests against the torque converter input tube not the shaft. Check the tube for a groove where the seal runs against it. If it is grooved you might be able to install what is called a "Speedy Sleeve" to renew the seal surface. At worst you'll have to replace the converter to seal it up. Another potential problem would be a bent flexplate which would cause the converter to wobble and take out the seal. So, next time trans is out check the runnout of the flexplate with the converter bolted up and tightened. Good Luck!

Thanks ill tear it apart and check it out how hard is it to replace an input shaft bearing? I just bought a new flexplate last one broke in pieces ill try that speedi sleeve I don't got nothing to lose maybe new converter too

New converter is best IF the tube is grooved or bent. New evidence of broken flex plate means there could indeed be some damage to the converter input tube. Good Luck!
