4x4 not working

Asked by Rambeast91 May 22, 2016 at 10:32 PM about the 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 ram 5.2 5 inch body lift was running 35
inch tires only had it for 3 months...on friday the
13th, of course, I hit a pothole and my front driver
side wheel fell off everthing the tire the rim only
thing that was left was my rotor and wheel
spacer...everything else looked fine..replaced the
rotor got new rim from junk yard but had to go
from 315 tires to 305 tires in the front cuz I couldnt
find any tires new or used in 315 to get here in time
so put on some 305s and left the back tires at 315
idk if that might b my problem but now with
everything put back on my 4x4 doesn't work....I
have a manual floor shifter for the 4x4 put it in 4hi
and as I go it feels like the e brakes are on..it starts
wobbling and feels like 1 tire is stuck...what else
could I have damaged when the wheel fell off to
make the 4x4 not engage I guess u can say
