My 1990 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 transmission slips and will not achieve passing gear. The problem is worse when cold. The fluid is fine. What can be wrong? 1 Answer
It has 190,000 miles and runs great aside from the transmission. It was replaced 5 years ago with a re-built transmission. I drive it normally about 60 miles a day.

The garage told me that my water pumb needs to be replaced, on my surbarban 2003. They said it is not like a other water pumbs, they said on a surbarban the antifreeze is beening thrown against the moter or a shaft??? What are they talking about? And could it be something else causing it to leak out once in a while. Not very often to I have to put antifreeze in the surburban when it gets low, however it appears to be getting worse. Help! I just had my water pumb replaced on Thursday, now on Saturday I notice my oil gage is not working, what happened? Could it have any thing to do with the water pumb, it should not have?
