98 ram 1500 5.9 4wd auto trans

the transmission in my 98 ram 1500 4wd keeps slipping in and out of gear,
sometimes slipping totally out of gear. it was  recently rebuilt in summer of
2018 because it was under warranty. now its doing as described. today i
changed the filter and fluid and everything seemed ok and the pan had vary
little on the magnet.   not sure what else to do.  trying not to buy a new
transmission till next year was the plan.. what am i not checking?

Check your warranty information. See if you're still covered by the 2018 repair. If not, honestly, another transmission will probably cost more than the vehicle is worth. Hope that helps! Jim
