Oil pressure high under acceleration

I own a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter V8
under idle my oil pressure gauge reads mid-range
however under acceleration it climbs to three-
quarters of the way whereas up until 6 months ago
it rarely went beyond the midpoint between mid-
range and three-quarters say 60% now it's reading
75 say 80% what could the issue be research tells
me it's oil pressure sensor but most everything
else says that's only the case if the oil pressure is
low
