ok well i have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4 i cant find out y i cant go over 10 mph i
replace my brake rear axle transmission so could it be front axle or front drive shaft or
transfer case

what do you mean it wont go over 10 mph....//are you getting enough power out of the engine...is your transfer case stuck in 4 low??.....// is your fan clutch stuck on ( can you hear it roaring making alot of noise) ...// this will rob the engine of so much power it won't shift out of first gear when it happens

idk y it wont go over 10 mph my fan work fine of i know of the transfer case dont work cuz my bro borrow my truck and broke the cv shaft so it in 2 wd it not make alot of noise my muffer is broke at the catalytic converter my motor got full power had it tested
ok with the engine off try spinning the rad fan if it spins then its ok if not then it needs to be replaced ...// also you say the CV ( cardin ) joint is broken the shift linkage for the transfer case is right next to it .....crawl under the truck and make sure the lever is not all the way back in 4 low have some one shift it while you looking( foot on the brake ) at it and make sure the adjuster is not broken or loose ....it could be in 4 low but the shifted is moving on the linage rod

i have nocies when i took it for a test drive to try and find out the shifter for 4x4 was moving by it shelf
