1999 dodge 1500 I went out to start it just clicked.. I tried to jump start it,and it would just click,finally got it to turn over and had to give it gas,as soon as it started it ran good for a minute and then died,doing the very same thing,finally got it started again holding the gas down for ever trying to keep it running,as soon as I pulled it into gear it died again,battery never took any charge,,Any Idea whats going on??

Bad battery, plates are touching within. The battery is stealing all the charge so much the ignition is being starved for Voltage.
