I've got a 99 dodge ram 1500 want to know what the part is called that goes between the transfer case and the transmission. The 4x4 has been vibrating a lot and I was told that's what needs to be fixe

It could be the carrier bearing. When they wear out it will cause a vibration in the driveshaft. Google: "99 dodge ram carrier bearing" and see if this is what you are looking at.
I am not up on Doge, but this picture is of old school carrier bearing. CV Joint maybe? you have vibrating?
This carrier bearing may be in your Doge, but they are in the 2 piece drive shaft that goes to the rear end.
