Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I went to start my truck one night. Once I unlocked the
driver side door, the alarm went off. I tried to start the truck
as normal and it started then died. I lost all power to the
truck. Turn the key and nothing happens. Its 2000 ram 1500
5.9L. I dont have a key fob.

the only thing that comes to mind is to disconnect the negative cable to the battery and either short out the terminals or let 'er sit for about 30 minutes. hook 'er back up n give 'er another try.
It's been sitting like that for about a month now. I've tried it a few times with no luck. Battery has been brought in and charged up. Consistently holds its charge so I know that's good.
Dodge Charger ain’t theft code
Hey I don't know if you still have this problem or possibly someone else may but I had a Dodge Durango once and it was there wouldn't have a alarm little Clicker and I came out of the store put the key in the passenger door unlocked at when I did the alarm went off well I got in basically the alarm would not stop going off so I was like huh I got this I popped THE Hood pulled the fuse out the alarm stopped however it started it would start no problem but then when you put it in gear it would just I wouldn't go forward wouldn't go backward the way I had to fix it was put the fuse back in so they alarm is going back off again shut the passenger door and then put the key in the driver door and turn it and lock it and unlock it like three times that reset it and it was fine I'm not sure if it'll work for the Ram or not but it's worth a shot hope this helps someone.
