No dash lights

could be the dimmer switch.. see if the dim is down all the way or up all the way. if no change id try changing the switch

i have a 2000, where is the dimmer switch for dash? i only see a headlight on/off and a dome light (thumbwheel) switch. Both of this switches are to the far left on dashboard. I think dashboard should come on with the headlight light switch. Do i have a bad bulb or wiring issue

I have same problem on my 2002 dodge ram 1500. I haven't been able to figure it out. I changed the headlight switch already. All other lights work but the dash lights in the cluster. I even bought a new cluster but that wasn't the problem either. Does anyone have any fix for this problem?

Fuse number 5 in your panel on the side of the dash could be the culprit

I just got my truck back from my mechanic with this issue. The cluster is dead. The dealer said the '02 cluster is now obsolete so it can't be purchased. Supposedly buying one at the wrecking yard won't work because the odometer is programmed/tied to the VIN. I will be looking for a workaround.

I got a 1985 dodge ram D100 I was driving all a sudden everything turned off the dash lights and the engine. Das anyone have an idea what I could be, there is no electricity come to the ignition coil and the dash lights don't work, but the engine still cranks.

2005 dodge ram 1500 i have no dash lights and no running lights so everthing works but running light and dash lights

Same thing on 1500 doge truck. Plugged in trailer and dash lights went out. No turn signals. Fuses all ok. Tried disconnect battery for two minutes—no good. Looked at trailer socket and that looks ok. Tail lights all work. Cant find a reason for dash not working.

More on the above: headlights work. Brake lights wirk and no bulb out. All gauges on zero with engine running in this2002 1500 Ram. There is a short somewhere because the red indicator in the right upper console is on and the battery dies overnight.

I have the same problem mine started after installing a new stereo it was finicky before installing a new stereo but I could still get it to come on I think there's got to be a short somewhere

After the dash lights, instruments went off, and all light bulbs checked out in the 2002 dodge 1500, fuses all ok, disconnected battery two hours—no good. Left battery disconnected three days. And bamoo, all the lights came on!!!

Did the 3-day disconnect stay "fixed"?

1500 dodge 2002 hooked up trailer with grounded taillight and dash lights went out. And dash instruments totaled. How did i fix it? The computer in the car went haywire! Unplug the battery not for three days, but one solid week. That reboots the computer and dash was again normal. I fixed the taillight groundout on the trailer also.

Seven months and still good.

We have a 2002 dodge ram I put a heater cord in it my son gave me a newer cluster and it still would run I had to put my old cluster back in So if you have change your cluster panel you need to go back to your old one hope it help

I had the same issue with my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. Took me a month to figure it out. My some lights and my bed lights worked...but no dash lights. I finally found the issue, under the hood in the fuse box, there is a fuse called "AMP QUAD LAMP". Replace that fuse, it worked for me.

I had this issue it was fuse 5 labeled as illumination or “illum”

No# 1 15amp blue fuse is the culprit!!! fixed !! Now no brake lights problem

Try discounting the battery, both cables and then touch the cables together (without touching the battery posts) for 20 seconds and it resets the switches. I have to try this again. Mine are out too. I did this once before and it worked. I found it on the internet.

Hi. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L. For some reason I have no power when I turn the key. No lights, nothing. The other day I drove the truck around fine. Then unloaded and went to start the car. It did not start so I put jump starter and car started. The battery reads 12.4 volts from the voltmeter so I thought maybe starter is going. I changed the starter today and thought I did a good job. Then when I tried to turn on truck, then realized no power at all when I turn the key. No lights on dashboard at all. Is there a fuse or relay that I should look at? Hopefully find some answers. Thanks for any advice.
