what would make 2002 dodge ram 1500 not rev over 2rpm

I had cylinder 6 and 8 miss fire I changed oil and filter and cap and rotor and wires and plugs.. but now truck will not rev over 2rpm will not go over 25 mph  don't kno what else to do.. some one told me it was cadilac converter other said fuel pump

Right on tennisshoe couldnt agree more. So glad to see quality answers. Judge roy would have said egr egr egr or clean your battery cables hes a broken record.

could also be the crankshaft position sensor. I had the same problem and I replace it and it worked just fine after
