2002 Dodge 1500 4.7 still white smoke and shuts down at idle

Asked by neal_57 May 28, 2014 at 05:25 AM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500 ST RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Found blown head gasket, replaced both, replace oil and filter once so far. There was no
white smoke or idle issues when I parked the truck, only after sitting for about 3 months
when I started the truck. I then replace the head gaskets. I ran the truck so far for about
10 min.

I'm trying to make sense of your time line. Here's what I think you tried to say : 1/ parked car and it was 100% fine. 2/ came back to it 3 months later and had a bit of smoke and it ran rough( after the car sat for 3 months) 3/ your next move was to replace the head gaskets and start her back up and run for 10 minutes.
