my 04 dodge slt makes a wine noise and goes into gear but dont move

my 04 dodge truck makes a wine noise when it is running down by the
trans,and  put it in gear but the truck dose not move at all .rev the engine still
do not move ,need some help.

Check your transmission fluid level but I think your trans is shot.

Those guys are right. But it would help us to know if it's auto or stick. Either clutch or very low on fluid, or just plain shot
