2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7L 2wd Front Suspension Creak

Asked by Luke Jan 10, 2017 at 06:59 PM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Problem: Front end suspension creak when turning at idle, and creak when
coming to a stop. i greased the sway bar bushing. Brought it to auto shop
but they couldn't figure it out what causing the creak. They think its the
lower ball joint, but i already changed it. so they try to grease the lower ball
joint, but still creak. i recently installed new leveling kit, that the
manufacturer sent me cause one i bought was rubber, that cracked.

It is probably the A arm bushings. You could try to lube them but maybe they need replacing. If it is an option I would go with polyurethane bushings.
