2004 ram with hemi
I have been having a few problems. Not sure if they
are all related.
Tonight, turn the key, there is a slight hesitation
after turning the key before it turns over. While
driving home, it stalled several times, started right
back up. Got home, shut truck off and tried
restarting it. Same hasitation, truck turned over
and started then died. Did this multiple times. If i
tap the gas, it starts right up and stays running. I
messed with it for half hour, then the hesitation
turning it over stopped and the truck starts right up
with out touching the gas again.

Back history. After filling the gas tank, it will stall
once or twice, then be fine till i fill the tank again.

The key hasitation has happened before, it lasts for
a few times of starting the truck, then goes away. I
have never had to tap the gas to get it to start.

i did notice one day if i giggled the key, a couple
lights in the dash light up breifly.

I think it needs a battery, it is the original and has
160,000 miles. Im wondering if i need to replace
the ignition switch also. Can these be all my
problems, or is there more?

Could be a few different things call me if u want easier to tell u than write it all, 304-476-8077 link

Ok. Thanks for replying. I had a engin light come on the next day, so i had the codes read. Po171, po174. Taking it to a mechanic friend of my dad's tomorrow to hopefully narrow it down. Sounds like the 02 sensor could be a possibility. Or a couple other possibilities.
