Will a 2nd gen 360 5 speed fit in a 3rd gen with a factory hemi?

I'm considering replacing my Hemi automatic in my 2005 dodge ram 1500 with a 360 5
speed I know there is alot of stuff I'd have to change like the wiring harness the pedals, cut
a hole in the floor for the stick. It's and idea but I'm curious if the engine and trans would
even fit into the stock engine mounts

In my humble opinion, sell what you have and buy what you want. That way you never skip a beat.
it will fit. the 360 was an option in that body style in 2002. the hemi wasn't offered until 2003. this does seem like a step backwards, as the 360 never had the power of the hemi. but the hemi also doesn't have the option of a 5 speed.
There was a six speed trans offered with the 5.7 hemi from 2003 to 2008 I think. Check the Dodge Ram 1500 in this year range. You could source the transmission and simply add a supercharger to that hemi for more power if needed.
