Can you trick out the air filter and if so how?

what do you mean "trick out the air filter"? you could put an aftermarket filter, like a k&n, into the factory airbox. or you could remove the factory intake tube and airbox and replace it with an aftermarket system. never heard of modifying a filter and don't recommend it.

Please help, my husband is asking me for help in trying to customize his air filter on his 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I think he forgot I am a girl and don't know these thing nor could I car less(If its broke just buy a new car, lol). His name is James 504-274 8176. )

Not sure what he wants to do to "customize" an air filter, is he trying to put a scoop on top of the hood or something? Customize doesn't mean it is broken , it means changing it to look cooler or be hotter.

I don't think any person is going to call James(unless they are in your local area) get James to tell us what he wants( on this page) and I'm sure he'll get some help.
