2006 Ram 1500 not shifting properly from first to second gear

I recently just had a soft rebuild on my tranny 4 months
ago. Today my truck is not shifting properly from a dead
stop to first and then to second. It jumps from a dead
stop to first gear. Then it takes what seems like a really
long time for it to shift over to second gear. No other
issues except check engine light is on. No weird sounds
or movements while driving or stopped. Taking back to
mechanic tomorrow luckily I have a warranty with the soft
rebuild. Any thoughts?
