How do I shift the transfer gear on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 ?

Question type: General
I recently bought a 2003 Ram 1500 4x4. It’s automatic
transmission but I have a manual shift for the transfer
case on my truck. I don’t have a owners manual and I
searched all over the internet for an answer but I can’t find
any. Can someone tell me how to shift the transfer gear
for this truck? I would really appreciate it.

Put it into neutral and push it into the gear you want. 4L you need to do when you are stopped. 4H can be selected when you are driving but not too fast. If you have manual hubs you will have to lock them in. Manual ---- http://www.wedophones.com/Manuals/Dodge/Dodge%202003%20RAM%20Manual.pdf
Transmission is automatic but the 4x4 gear is not electronic. It’s manual shift.
From the owner's manual for 4H it is recommended to shift while moving at speeds not to exceed 55 mph let off gas and firmly shift up to 4H to shift into 4L you must have your transmission in neutral and it is recommended to be rolling at a speed from 2 to 3 mph appx. While the transmission is in neutral and firmly shift down all the way to 4L do not force or slam into 4L only use 4 wheel drive on wet, slippery or loose surfaces or you risk damaging the drivetrain and all tire must be the same size or you risk damaging the drivetrain. Hope this helps you
I have a 2000 Dodge Ram Sport, what should the transfer gear be set on when just driving regularly?
2H is recommended when no severe road conditions are present or when not going off-road.
What is neutral position for in the transfer case shifter
