2006 Dodge Ram 1500 no headlights

I have no headlights while driving or when the truck is running ,but, when I shut the truck off the headlights turn on and then go off after a bit like normal.

try moving your key switch up and down I have a worn out switch and my lights do that some times it loses power you may have too much on your key ring causing the problem if so remove some keys.
