On your next oil change leave out one quart of oil and add some Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer that will take care of that tap.

Depends on what is ticking. It may be piston slap which is somewhat normal on some engines. Also it could be an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold and as the manifold warms up the manifold will expand possibly causing the noise to go away. Having a noise on the bottom end would worry me. I would check or have the oil pressure checked. Putting additives in the oil is not likely to fix anything. Additives might be of some help for a lifter tap, but a bottom end knock or tap is likely serious.
