I have a 98 dodge 2500 cummins diesel and water is mixing with the transmission fluid, what would cause this?

I have a 98 dodge 2500 cummins diesel i just had the transmission rebuilt, I put less
then 100 miles on it. Then it just stopped going into gear. So I brought it back to
transmission guy who said there was water mixed with the transmission fluid. How can
this be when there was no water mixing with the fluid before I rebuilt the transmission?

locate the trans cooler and remove it and have it press tested,if it is leaking than that is your problem,if not then he is trying to cover his mistake
