1998 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel 2 wheel drive spedometer problem

Asked by tomgand Apr 20, 2015 at 03:22 PM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 2500 ST LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My speedometer/odometer went out when I overloaded my bed with firewood and accidently crushed the ABS speed sensor. I replaced it and replaced the speed sensor in the automatic transmission and removed the back plate off the exciter/tone ring and inspected it. It looks good but my speedometer and odometer still isn't working. What could be my problem and how do I fix it?
