1999 dodge 5.9L 2500 starts and runs fine, shut it off and it wont start.?

truck runs fine all day, shut it off and it will start fine the next day and no
troubles.  go start it a day or so later and you have to boost it to get it started.
starts to take it out of garage but won't start to put it back in a couple of hours
later.

Not much information to go on, but when you say you have boost it to get it to start after sitting for a while, then that would indicate you have a bad battery or a parasitic draw. Take it to a parts store and get the charging system tested (it's free at most stores). If battery, regulator, and alternator test good, then you'll have to look for a parasitic draw on the battery.
