I got 2004 ford 5.9 cummin starts run one mile stops you turn switch on three time it star back and stop again any one Tell me what wrong.. don

On the 03-05 5.9 liter Cummins, they had the low pressure fuel pump by the firewall. It would get too hot and melt the contacts so to solve this they put an in tank pump. There were two different types, one powered by the harness and one powered by a wire to the battery. Some people will change their battery and forget to hook that wire up so the low pressure pump isn’t lifting fuel. The truck will still run intermittently. This is also the case if you fuel pump dies. Get it fixed or your high pressure pump will burn out and its way more expensive to fix. You can test your low pressure pump by opening the fuel cap and putting your ear to the filler neck. Have someone bump the starter with the key without starting the engine, if you hear the whining of the pump for a few seconds it’s ok, if you hear nothing it’s a bad pump.
