1999 DODGE TRUCK 2500 SHUTS DOWN WHEN DRIVING

DURING HOT DAYS MY TRUCK LOOSES ELECTRICAL AND SHUTS DOWN TILL COOLS OFF THEN STARTS BUT KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN.I AM OUT OF WORK WITH OUT IT PLEASE HELP NO ONE HAS AN ABSOLUTE ANSWER.

Just to clarify, it loses electrical power to the engine? The rest of the truck has power? One common cause is the coils failing when they get too warm. It could be a few other things.

My truck is doing the same. I have a 99 dodge ram also my fuse box under the hood is shorting out cause if i move it around it starts up but doesnt last
