Asked by Theflem1 Jul 05, 2016 at 12:30 AM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I read this site on my fuel lite coming on, I put the bottle over the drain line,
opened the filter lever, drained the fuel and replace the filter, after all was put
together I turned on the key without starting did NOT hear the fuel pump, did
it 4 times, checked the filter, NO fuel, pump is not turning on, now getting
error. Alarm P 1693 then ECU P 0237. Talks about MAP.  WTF, ALL I DID WAS
DRAin the fuel.   What happened

Water might have destroyed the lift pump check for voltage at the connector. Forget the DTC codes until you get the lift pump functioning.
