2000 Chevy blazer hard shifting around 1500 rpms what would cause this

My 2000 blazer is eating gas and is jumping at around 1500 rpm can some one give
me an idea of what it might be and if I can fix it myself

Speed sensor or transmission issue.... just a guess... take it in for service before something really big happens..... NO, I don't think you can fix this yourself..... maybe I'm wrong??
