Power steering out and so is electrical

2007 Toyota yaris. When driving the dashboard
turns off and the power steering stops working??

Your car has an electric pump for the steering. You have to find out why you are losing power. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and tightness before having a mechanic look it over.

Thanks. I cleaned the heads to the battery post, but now the engine shakes and the car seems to wana die.

Did you ever figure it out? It happened to mine today. I tested the battery and it only carried 2V, which is one that I replaced only 7 months ago. Bringing the battery back to dealership tomorrow...
