When I go up a hill it stops at that speed and won't accelerate and until I get pass the hill and if I press down on gas the red light comes on. When I am driving on level ground driving,speed is fine

The red light on dash where say visit workshop,and battery symbol

Torque converter might be going out check transmission fluid and the magnet in your transmission pan for metal shavings. While you have the pan off replace the filter too

Yes possible valve body issue. One of the solenoids may be failing or might have failed.
