what wrong when gas light in blinking

gas hand light  blinks while car run

I'd check your owner's manual if I had it in front of me, but would hazard to guess that you're about to run out of gas...or there is weak fuel pressure...or the level sender is sending bogus information and the computer don't like it~

00 MB SLK 230 - I TOOK OUT THE FUEL FLOAT IN TANK CLEAN IT GOOD BUT THE FUEL GAUGE STILL FLASHING AFTER ABOUT 5 MILES WHATS NEXT TO DO TO STOP THIS ?

I PUT NEW OEM FUEL CAP CLEAN FUEL TANK FLOST ETC. IS THERE A SENSOR AT THE FUEL GAUGE ?
