2003 Mercedes CLK 320 accelerator hesitates/does nothing.

When I press on the accelerator pedal nothing seems too happen...
tachometer does not move, nor does the car. It eventually will kick in, but not
always. When it does, sometimes it works fine othe times it barely
accelerates. .

Get thee to a transmission shop, MB dealer or BOSCH shop ASAP. Serious trouble may be looming.
