Transmission

Asked by E17 Feb 18, 2016 at 11:32 PM about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320 4MATIC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving on a highway and slowed down to pay a toll.
When I went to accelerate  my engine revved but  the car
did not accelerate.  I had to pull over and get it towed
home. It was a very cold night.  Tried numerous times since
then to drive it  and though the shifter moves into reverse,
drive etc. The car doesn't move. There are no engine lights
on.

hows your trans fluid level? how many miles since transmission was last serviced? if fluid is low or filter is clogged do to not servicing trans it won't have enough fluid flowing to make the car move.
