And Here i go again I'm sorry that im asking another dumb question I noticed that the thermostat on the dashboard in the car the temperature for the engine seems to be overheating what would be causing that as you can see I am not a mechanic I don't know much about cars so maybe you could help me thank again
Could mean a few things. Your thermostat itself (Motor) is sticking or your waterpump might not be working properly
On that means that I'm going to have to bring it to a mechanic so that he can check it out for me and let me know what it is, I appreciate the help thank you so much I'll be bothering you guys a lot I just got the car andI want to make sure that it's in tip top shape by the time I'm done by the end of the summer
change the coolant and note how plugged up the radiator is,,,,replace~

Overheating issues can be difficult to cure. A case in point is the loaded 2013 E550 recently (maybe still is) for sale on ebay. It was eventually bought back by the factory when solving the heating problem exceeded some predetermined allowable time. According to the present vehicle sales department the cure was a simple reprogramming. One wonders why, in that case, it could not have been done quickly.
flushing the coolant will produce several five gallon buckets of ethylene glycol and rust...most shops are not prepared to deal with this stuff and frequently turn a hose and wash it down the drain...in a most environmentally irresponsible fashion....so NO one wants to flush you coolant and make it free of rust and corrosion...but someone should do this and put the proper 50/50 ethylene glycol and water mix~....a new thermostat...new hoses and a looksee at the waterpump to make sure it is still pumping and possibly replace it....a new radiator....perhaps you could see where the hot spots are with a spot thermometer~
